“ After a lot of disappointing experiences in bigger Italian cities, this Osteria really exceeded our expectations. Starting from the nice location up on a hill, with a beautiful view (not directly from the restaurant though), to the super friendly and helpful stuff, to the delicious food, especially the cheese cake with frutti di bosco was absolutely amazing! Went there two nights in a row because we were so satisfied. If you're around give it a try. A reservation was luckily not necessary but won't harm either. ”
“ We came across this rustic eatery in a tiny village while exploring the Valpolicella wine route and I’m so glad we stopped for lunch. While locals grabbed a workday lunch of panini and beer in the front bar, we had great views from the adjoining dining room and enjoyed some very Germanic fare including speck (a.k.a. smoked prosciutto) cured with Valpolicella wine and served with grilled polenta and other salumi. Spätzle with cream sauce and canederli (salumi, cheese and bread dumplings) in porcini sauce followed. We were surprised by the dishes until we realised we’d crossed into the German-influenced Lessinia highlands which stretch from Trento down into Valpolicella - a delicious discovery! ”
